the difference between the seven models of the steel bifold doors?
A The difference
is in esthetics. Some have louvers or panels, or a combination of
both. All steel bifold doors use the same patented hardware for
durability. All come with the Sierra Handle in Chrome, Brass, and
Antique Gold.[TOP]

A There is a
7/8" hi-profile aluminum track and a bottomless track bracket
that eliminates bottom track across the threshold in an opening.
There is no upcharge on the bottomless track bracket.[TOP]
Q Is there
a gap in between the louvers?
A Yes. The gap
is large enough to allow air flow, but designed minimally to prevent
object from being inserted into it.[TOP]
Q How wide
are the louvers in the bifold?
A The width
of the louvers depends on the width of the panel / door.[TOP]

the maximum door width?
A For two-panel
units the maximum width is 35-1/2" (36" opening) for
four-panel units the maximum width is 71" (72" opening).[TOP]

the standard heights?
A 6'8" ,
7'0" , 7'6" and 8'. Non-standard heights are available.[TOP]

is the steel on bifolds?
A Bifolds are
manufactured with 24-gauge, cold-rolled steel as a standard.[TOP]

be manufactured with galvanized steel for corrosion-resistance?
A Yes! We recommend
galvanized for doors to be used in coastal areas with high salt
content in the atmosphere or in locations of high humidity, such
as laundry rooms, bathrooms, etc.[TOP]

is polished chrome on a solid metal bifold door.
- The 2750ST
is polished gold on a solid metal bifold door.
- The 2800AL

at no additional cost. Model 4100 Overlay Door has 12 gage pivot

the difference between the four models?
A The differences
are in the mirror framing, door construction, and hardware:
- The 2200
is polished chrome mylar edging on a solid steel panel.
- The 2250
is polished gold mylar edging on a solid steel panel.
- The 4260
is a framed mirror with bottom roller. Available in Bright White,
Mayan Gold, and Champagne Gold.
- The 4050
is a framed door with top roller. Available in Bright White, Mayan
Gold, and Champagne Gold.
- The 4760
is a frameless mirror doo with adjustable top L-Guides and jump-resistant
bottom roller available in Bright White and Champagne Gold.
- The 4815
is a framed wood laminate door with twin wheel top guides and
free-floating bottom roller available in Oak and White Ash.[TOP]

A All Slimfold
Mirror Bifold and Bypass Doors have safety backed mirrors (CFR part
1201, Category II). The backing should conform to local standards.
In the United States, mirror backing should conform with ANSI Z97.1

the glass thickness of Slimfold Mirrors?
A 1/8"
(3mm) on 7'0" heights and under 5/32" (4mm) on heights
